Intermittent fasting (of all sorts) is required for self-mastery. The point of fasting isn’t simply to live without something. The point is to gain control over your impulses so they don’t control you.
You know you need a fast when you can’t seem to stop doing something. And that something is not improving your health or soul. Maybe it’s picking up your phone or electronic device. Maybe it’s drinking alcohol or smoking. Maybe it’s eating or isolating. Maybe it’s exercise and overwork. Maybe it’s gambling or porn. Maybe it’s talking and doing or not doing. Whatever it is, when you prove to yourself that you are in control of it, and it’s not in control of you, you free yourself from the burden of believing that you can’t change. And your awareness has grown.
This event is designed as a food fast, but you may substitute food for any other thing.
Fasting from food leads to a longer lifespan in animals and humans and helps you maintain healthy weight. “Statistics show that humans live up to 80% longer when they fast regularly. And, ‘grazing’ and round-the-clock eating patterns often lead to lower quality diet, higher caloric intake, more late-night eating, weight gain and a decline in metabolic health,” Zerolongevity February 2023. “A 2019 study followed 2,001 heart patients and found that those who routinely fasted were much more likely to be alive four years after a common procedure, cardiac catheterisation, compared with patients who never fasted, did it briefly, or stopped many years earlier,” National Geographic January 2023.
Fasting, or “not doing,” something that we’ve done often and over a period of time, can be relatively easy when we know how. By booking your fast today, you’ll have full support from Angelique, her team of healing practitioners, and a Registered Nurse**.
**The total fees for a fasting event will vary. Any additional practitioner’s services beyond those listed below, will be booked separately at their own fee. Each type of fast (food, phone … whatever habit) may cause the fee to vary.
The following are included and available. If you do not wish to attend all experiences, the fees remain the same and may be transferred to another service.
- 1, one-hour conversation with Angelique
- Five-element cleanse and ceremony with Angelique
- Earthing and forest bathing techniques (plus movie)
- 2-hour intuitive integrative manual therapy with Jerzy Tworek
- 2-hour in-room clearing massage by Kristin Poppy
- Guided meditation with Angelique (when available)
- Pure water, fresh-made juices, homemade broths and/or fruit-based meals to support you inside and out
- 1-hour seated presence (Darshan) with Angelique (when available)
- Outdoor fire with view of Fort Loudon Lake
- Viewing of animals: deer, fox, coyote, wolf, owl, opossum, racoon, as well as birds and songbirds not limited to: cardinal, bluebird and bluejay, nuthatch, dove, pileated woodpecker, bald eagle, hawk, osprey, heron, kingfisher, vultur, migratory birds including hummingbird and American White Pelican
- Swimming and paddleboarding (weather permitting May – October)
- View of Lake Loudon (180 degrees)
